Creativity is inventing or reinventing by adding you own flair!
Creativity is in every aspect of our life. We use it daily interacting with friends and family, in challenging our co-workers, embracing a new idea, experimenting with a new recipe, exploring a new route, and generally shaking up our routine.
Week 1: June 17 – Where has my creativity gone?
Your creativity is not gone, you just need a little coaxing to reclaim it.
We’ll address all those reasons why so many of us feel challenged in this area.
- I’m just not creative.
- I don’t have time to be innovative
- I don’t know where to begin to think outside the box.
Creativity is experimenting and growing, being willing to try and fail, and try again!
Week 2: June 24 - Why tapping into your creativity decreases your stress level.
Medical research studies show our brain wave patterns change to promote improved overall well being and health when we engage in hands-on activities.
- I’m stuck in my bad patterns and don’t know how to change for my well being.
- I’m so busy. It’s not practical for me to take time to access the passions of my creativity – writing, paper crafts, beading, painting, gardening – to name a few.
- I can’t afford to take off work to pursue art for art’s sake.
Creativity is taking risks, and breaking rules – being willing to leap into a new idea, genre, activity, environment, or attitude!
Week 3: July 1 – Are we having fun yet?
Put fun back into your life. Play is for everyone, not just little ones. You can take time to be a kid again.
- This is ridiculous, I’m an adult.
- How would it look with me a professional?
- Where do I start?
Creativity is permission to make mistakes and have fun without judgment or fear of failure.
Week 4: July 9 (Friday) – Self-renewal prescription
Learn why the flight attendant instructions direct us to put our oxygen mask on first. Invest time, energy, money in yourself.
- It’s just a waste of time
- I don’t believe I’m worth it
- I won’t be able to sustain it.
