Connect with an old friend – Coaxing Creativity Tuesday Tip 1-12-10

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne?

This suggestion comes on the heels of New Years Eve where we often sing “Auld Lang Syne” (written by Robert Burns in the 1700’s). In simple terms, it means “the good old days.” I believe the song encourages us to let go of any lingering sources of distress from the past and start fresh in the New Year. Perhaps there is someone you’ve lost touch with, or someone you need to reach out to. There’s no time like the present to drop them a line. Make it easy on yourself. Send a post card that says “thinking of you.” Make a funny card using your favorite comics from the Sunday paper. Send a note with an article about something you have in common. Do it today and keep making those connections throughout 2010.

  • Thanks Mary! I was just going through some papers and found that 8×10 photo that youwere kind enough to print out and deliver to me at Princeton Seafood Co. Thank you!!! I would like to invite you to come to lunch one Tuesday or Friday at the restaurant and reconnect. Would you like to do that?
